Description
The Concord Hospital Family Health Center Behavioral Health Department has an opening for a pre-doctoral MFT or MedFT intern. The Family Health Center is home to the NH Dartmouth Family Medicine Residency, an 8-8-8 residency, and provides care for 14,000 patients, focusing on the underserved. We serve a large immigrant and refugee population.
Our interdisciplinary behavioral health faculty includes Marriage and Family Therapists, Clinical Mental Health Counselors, Social Workers, a Psychologist, and a Psychiatrist. Similarly, we have an interdisciplinary team of six interns at the master’s and doctoral level.
Our services include integrated care (warm handoffs, crisis evaluations, brief interventions and behavior change visits) and specialty mental health services (individual, couple, family). One day a week is spent providing individual and couple treatment in the Payson Center for Cancer Care. There is also an opportunity to provide psycho-education for patients in Cardiac Rehabilitation, Heart Wellness and Congestive Heart Failure groups.
Teaching opportunities include supervising a master’s level MFT intern, partnering with residents in their clinics, working with residents on the inpatient medicine rotation, and didactic presentations. There is also an opportunity to work with the Scholarly Activity Faculty on projects of one’s own choosing or by joining an existing project.
